TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in Lewiston, Maine, 04240 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4x12-Hour Night Shifts (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years, with more than 1 year of recent CVICU experience License: Must have an active license by start Certifications: BCLS, ACLS Must-Have: Care of ventilated patients, procedural sedation administration, continuous IV sedation, pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring, management and interpretation of dysrhythmias Job Description: - Accepts first-time travelers; however, does not accept candidates within 50 miles of the facility. - Requires flexibility to float as needed to ICU, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, & Emergency Room. - No call requirement, but must work 3 weekends every 6-week schedule block. - Care for patients with conditions such as post-op CABG, AVR, MVR, vascular surgeries, cardiac interventions including ECMO, heart failure with Impella, angioplasty, and stent placements. - Treat post-operative general surgical patients requiring a higher level of care, sepsis, respiratory and multi-system failures, diabetic ketoacidosis, and encephalopathy. - Utilize special procedures and equipment including Impella, balloon pumps, ECMO/Tandem Heart, ceiling lifts, hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand lifts, and safe-patient handling equipment. - Provide care in a unit with 20 beds, including 8 in CICU and 12 in Step-Down. - Support from a unit-based educator available during weekdays and as needed. - Navy blue scrubs required. - Facility is smoke-free. - Requires fit testing prior to being onsite. 26146839EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA PALS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Connect with healthcare professionals nationwide, expanding your professional network.
