**Job Title:** Registered Nurse**Job Specialty:** Intensive Care Unit (ICU)**Job Duration:** 13 weeks**Shift:** Night shift, 3x12-hour (18:45 - 07:15)**Guaranteed Hours:** Information not provided**Experience:** Minimum 2 years required**License:** CA RN Licensure**Certifications:**- Basic Life Support (BLS)- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 180 days of hire- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 180 days of hire- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within 90 days of hire
**Must-Have:**- Epic charting experience preferred- Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing- Background information should be declared if there are any issues- Prior staff must be gone 1 year to return as a traveler
**Job Description:**- Accountable for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care, including direct patient care in an acute patient setting.- Deliver holistic and individualized care to all patients in the assigned area.- Develop, implement, and coordinate a care plan that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.- Foster and maintain collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications.- Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience.
**Shift Requirements:**- Weekend requirement: Every other Saturday/Sunday- Work holidays as needed
**Orientation:**- Orientation duration is 16 hours, non-billable.
Be sure to have all certifications in hand at the time of submission.All certifications must be accredited by the American Heart Association.
