Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: Information not provided Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: CA RN Licensure Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 180 days of hire - Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 180 days of hire - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within 90 days of hire Must-Have: - Epic charting experience preferred - Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing - Background information should be declared if there are any issues - Prior staff must be gone 1 year to return as a traveler Job Description: - Accountable for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care, including direct patient care in an acute patient setting. - Deliver holistic and individualized care to all patients in the assigned area. - Develop, implement, and coordinate a care plan that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. - Foster and maintain collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications. - Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience. Shift Requirements: - Weekend requirement: Every other Saturday/Sunday - Work holidays as needed Orientation: - Orientation duration is 16 hours, non-billable.
