Our client is looking for a Senior Tax Manager (open to strong Tax Manager) that has a mix of high net worth, flow through and corporate tax experience. This role will service high-net-worth and celebrity clients and their business interests.
Key Responsibilities:
Review complex individual, partnership returns, joint venture, and entity and non-corporate entity tax returns, combined state tax returns, and tax compliance.Work closely with tax partners and other staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities.Handle monthly and quarterly tax account reconciliations and create related journal entries.Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure client satisfaction, meet deadlines, and effectively lead change efforts.Supervise and help drive the success of multiple engagements in partnership and individual taxation.Mentor senior associates and guide them on Tax issues.
Qualifications:
6-7+ years of public accounting experience.Direct supervisory or management experience.High-net-worth individuals, corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and trust preparation experience.Ability to prepare working trial balance and year-end adjusting entries.Expert understanding of individual, corporate taxation of pass-throughs, estate and gift tax, investment advisory, and financial planning.CPA required, experience with CCH Axcess a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range: $160,000–$190,000, plus annual discretionary bonus.Full benefits package, 25 days paid time off, covered individual medical insurance, parental leave.Remote/hybrid. Open to West Coast time zone, but preference with being in Southern/Central California.
