Full-Time Nutritional Counselor - Manhattan

Reports to: Chief of Internal Medicine, Manhattan

Responsibilities:Evaluate the dietary needs of a client by assessing their health and exercise levels, sleep and food habits, etc.Clarify information to clients and explain the effects of nutrients on overall health condition.Provide counseling and dietary modifications to address clients’ dietary restrictions or needs.Create individualized nutrition and exercise plans to promote healthy lifestyles.Set clear objectives and provide coaching to clients to help them in their progress.Prepare presentations on topics related to nutrition in collaboration with Health Education team.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in nutritional science, dietetics or relevant field.Valid license to practice the profession.Verified experience as nutritionist.Basic CPR (BCLS) Certification required (Health Center will provide if needed).Thorough understanding of biochemistry and human physiology.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Creativity and critical thinking.Bilingual in English/Chinese preferred.Compensation and Benefits:Salary: $65,000.00 - 75,000.00 per year.Medical insurance.Employer-paid dental, vision, disability and life insurance.403(b) retirement savings plan.Flexible spending accounts for transit, parking, health and dependent care.Paid time off (28 days for the first year of employment).Employee Assistance Program.Tuition reimbursement for eligible employees.The Health Center is qualified for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.
