Senior Engineer (Water/Wastewater)
in our Honolulu office. As a Senior Engineer, you will plan, develop, coordinate, and execute projects with full technical responsibility. The candidate will be expected to act independently on technical matters pertaining to specialized areas and direct the work of other engineers to achieve task goals and meet client expectations.The candidate will work mainly at the project site and in the field, supporting the wastewater treatment process control teams at various wastewater treatment facilities across Oahu.The candidate will utilize consulting expertise to manage and execute work on projects to deliver high-quality projects and to help ensure successful client relationships. In addition, the candidate will participate in the pursuit of business development opportunities. The candidate will also work closely with technical experts and other leaders in the Pacific Area and across the entire BC enterprise.Typical projects could involve:Wastewater treatment process optimization as well as planning, design, and construction observationPumping stations and piping system planning and designBiosolids and residuals treatment and dewateringAlternative energy power sources and generationJob Expectations:Develop project approaches to meet specific goals and objectives including the preparation of detailed scopes, schedules, and budgetsManage multidisciplinary engineering projects to achieve client goals within scope, schedule, and budget constraintsDirect the preparation and completion of comprehensive technical reports and presentationsPrepare and make presentations for professional meetings with clients and technical teamsParticipate in improving company resources and tools to improve quality and efficiencySupervise, delegate, direct, coach, and mentor junior technical staffDesired Skills and Experience:B.S. degree in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering; M.S. preferred5 - 10 years experience in municipal engineering and consulting preferredA Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Hawaii preferredStrong project management skills with demonstrated experience managing staff within scope/schedule/budget;Successful marketing, proposal writing, proposal management, and public presentation experience a plusStrong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and prepare written reports and documentsSalary Range:
This position's anticipated starting pay range is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending on skills, experience, and education.
