Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced ETL Lead/Developer with expertise in Snowflake to Redshift migration and advanced SQL skills. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ETL processes, experience in data extraction and transformation, and strong analytical and communication skills. This role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing ETL workflows, writing SQL procedures, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
ETL Development and Workflows:
•Develop, maintain, and enhance ETL workflows for new data integrations and existing processes.
•Manage data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from heterogeneous sources.
•Write SQL stored procedures for ETL processes.
•Work with One Automation and other scheduling tools to set up and manage complex workflows and schedules.
Snowflake to Redshift Migration:
•Participate in or lead migration projects from Snowflake to Redshift.
•Ensure compatibility and performance across both platforms.
SQL Expertise:
•Write and optimize complex SQL queries for large-scale data warehouse environments (Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL, DB2).
•Design and implement database solutions and reports using SQL.
•Utilize performance-tuning techniques to enhance query efficiency.
Data Warehousing and Architecture:
•Develop ETL solutions within a well-defined architecture using standard techniques and best practices.
•Interface with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Business Clients to clarify requirements.
•Participate in Agile development processes, ensuring the timely delivery of IT/BI solutions.
Documentation and Support:
•Write comprehensive documentation for installation, operations, and workflows.
•Provide technical inputs to design specifications and maintain detailed operational procedures.
Technical Skills and Tools:
•Utilize Teradata utilities, BTEQ, and Teradata stored procedures.
•Work with JSON data types in SQL.
•Collaborate with teams to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.
•Leverage UNIX programming skills to support ETL processes.
Required Qualifications
•5+ years of experience with SQL query design and optimization in data warehouses (Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL, DB2).
•5+ years of experience in ETL development and data integration.
•Experience in Snowflake to Redshift migration or working with both platforms.
•Strong SQL skills (online test may be required).
•Experience with One Automation or similar scheduling tools.
•Hands-on experience with Agile methodology and delivering IT/BI solutions.
•Knowledge of performance-tuning and query optimization techniques.
•Proficiency in UNIX programming.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
