About JNWC
In support of the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) contract, you will be part of our team's efforts to empower the Department of Defense's navigation warfare (NAVWAR) mission to ensure positioning, navigation, and navigation timing superiority. Our mission is to provide combatant commanders and joint force commanders with subject matter expertise on planning and conducting NAVWAR by providing knowledge of friendly and enemy NAVWAR Order of Battle and PNT-related successes and threats.

As a Database Administrator supporting the Joint Navigation Warfare Center, you will design, implement, and maintain robust database solutions, ensuring high availability through performance monitoring and regular backups. You will optimize database performance by identifying bottlenecks and safeguard sensitive information with security measures.
Maintaining documentation for configurations and procedures is essential, and you will collaborate with developers and system administrators to support application deployment. Additionally, you will provide training and support to end-users while ensuring compliance with DoD policies and data protection regulations.
You'll Bring These QualificationsYou must be a US citizenYou need to have an Secret security clearance with a pathway to SCI; we will also consider candidates with an interim Secret security clearanceBA/BS in computer science, information technology or a related fieldWe will consider candidates at different skill levels for this role. At the 1TS level, you will have a minimum of five years' experience, and at the 2TS level you will have minimum of seven years' experience with classified databases and/or knowledge of DoD security regulations, policy, and proceduresRelevant certification such as IBM Certified Database Administrator - DB2, Microsoft SQL Server database certification, Oracle Certified Professional, MySQL Database Administrator, or industry equivalentExperience with designing and maintaining large-scale, complex databases system on SCI systems
