Requirements
Senior Accountant duties include but not limited to:
•General journal entries.
•Account Reconciliations.
•Month-end close including but not limited to:
o Bank Reconciliations
o Prepaid Expenses
o Fixed Assets - Depreciation, Additions and Disposals
o Accrue Payroll & Bonuses - Management and Employee
o Deferred Rent
o Misc. Accrued Expenses
o Accrue monthly Reserves
§ Calculate monthly Trade discount & allowances, per Customer contract.
§ Analyze monthly risk of return
o Record monthly Customer Marketing Support (Overbills) credit memos.
o Calculate and accrue monthly Sales Representative commissions.
o Calculate actual Sales Representative monthly commissions payable, based on Customer payment.
Accts. Payable
•New Vendor Set in ERP.
•General entry of ALL incoming Accounts Payable i.e. Logistics, utilities, commissions, benefits, rent, etc.
•Manage AP duties; download and code invoice detail for entry into ERP.
•Create wire payments as requested.
•Manage invoices and submit for approval.
•Pay vendors.
•Manage credit card payments and post activity.
•Process employee reimbursements.
•Post payments in ERP.
Accts. Receivable
•Post Misc. Credit Memos:
o Debit memos.
o Customer product returns.
o Misc. customer credits i.e. discounts & allowances.
•Review AR aging and follow up with Customers or internal sales reps to get older invoices paid
•Manage bulk buy customers.
Cash Management
•Maintain the Cash Availability spreadsheet, for cash management purposes.
•Apply ALL incoming cash receipts, and related credits i.e. Trade discounts and allowances, etc ... to the Customer's outstanding Accts. Receivable.
•Bank deposits, as required (via mobile banking on WF app).
•Record ALL
non-cash receipt
deductions , NOT paid for via check.
Payroll
•Assist with year-end 1099 / 1096 Filing
**This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days on-site and 2 remote in Carlsbad, Ca.
