Loss Prevention Specialist

Purpose of Position:The Security Operations Center Agent monitors all locations to support store operations, deter loss, identify shrink opportunities, address alarm events, and provide for physical security and safety awareness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Serves as first contact LP support to store leadership for matters related to LPAssess, prioritize, and respond to incoming calls (theft, incidents, alarms)Appropriately leverage store personnel to mitigate active malicious behavior and prevent lossDevelop and conduct investigations leveraging all available business resourcesReport incidents of loss to appropriate law enforcement agenciesMaintain detailed records of daily activities by location, activity type, and outcomeActively engage in ongoing forensic video review to identify deviation from expectations related to shrink (internal, external, process)Conducts structured remote audits within assigned areas to support and enhance store operationsAll other duties as assigned
Qualifications:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to provide direction and make sound decisions in elevated stress situationsAbility to multitaskAbility to deal with conflict in a professional mannerKnowledge of closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems and Microsoft OfficeMeticulous attention to detailAbility to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality
Education/Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent required1-year Asset Protection (or related field) experience preferred

Work Environment/Physical Demands:The work environment characteristics and physical demands described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.This position is considered sedentary and involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone, and stoop/kneel to handle computer equipmentThe employee may be required to exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity at 20 inches or less due to computer workWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee will experience a moderate noise level (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic)
