Certification Details Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response Skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, and Telemetry - remote monitoring Job Details Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience required May float to Med-Surg Accepts 1st time travelers Job Requirements Must be able to read strips Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Schedule Information Avg Census: 36 Rooms/Beds 36 Ratios - 1:4 Every other weekend coverage required No Call requirement Scrubs: Royal Blue Unit Specific Information Patient Population: Adolescents - Geriatrics Must be able to work in Telemetry setting Must have experience with vents, groin care, and chest tubes Required Cardiovascular skills: Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery Required IV Therapy/Phlebotomy Skills: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IVs Required Medication skills: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration Required Respiratory/Thoracic Skills: Care of Chronic/Long-term Ventilated Patient, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen face masks, Tracheostomy Management Additional Details RTO must be on the submittal No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment 1 Holiday RTO must only be submitted but it is not guaranteed to be approved
