Description
The
Systems Support Analyst
will provide systems and application support across, particularly, the Credit Union Windows systems environment. Manages various systems and application platforms as well as applying root cause operation break fixes and other proactive maintenance activities to keep the services up and running. As experts in their areas of specialty, systems administrators also document and share technical knowledge with IT Support to ensure effective transfer of knowledge. They often work within the IT department of a company or organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate in complex, highly secure, and highly available operations environments and interact with the technology domain experts required to maintain those environments.Directly responsible for participating in the design and support of all managed Windows operating system infrastructure activities in a 24x7x365 multi-site environment.Responsible for ensuring the proper management of Active Directory, including the management of domains, user/computer objects, accounts, and permissions.With little direction perform system security remediation and ensure that the system and application are on up-to-date patch levels and conform to the security standards.Develop and incorporate best practices and approaches into the company's processes and methodologies around Windows systems, anti-virus, patch management, and firmware upgrades.Develop written documentation for team processes.Develop new concepts and processes, analyze root causes, and resolve complex issues by utilizing your experience and knowledge of the industry.Support developmental and operational systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all clients.Resolve IT incidents from the cradle to the grave, working closely with business and IT teams and other stakeholders when IT issues require escalation.Guide and mentor junior IT staff, sharing knowledge and best practices.Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate end users on software applications, best practices and security awareness. Develop training and user guides to enhance user knowledge and proficiency.Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices. Evaluate new hardware and software solutions and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, productivity, and user experience.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field and/or 4-years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience as a supporting system administration, integrating, developing and/or deploying information technology products (hardware and software) in an enterprise environment.Experience with Active Directory Technologies, M365 Admin solutions.In-Depth understanding of operating systems, networking concepts, hardware components, and software applications.Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).Experience with Enterprise Systems (Phone Systems, Conference Applications, etc.).Experience with Windows Server Administration (Active Directory, Exchange, etc.) in a multisite, multilanguage environment.Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues systematically and efficiently.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with end-users and provide top-notch support.Ability to think critically and creatively to find solutions to technical challenges.Meticulous approach to documentation and task completion.Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing IT environments.Able to travel to other locations throughout the state as needed.
Physical requirements: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, use the computer and telephone to complete work, and lift up to 30 pounds at times.
