Registered Nurse - Outpatient Clinic @ Barnes-Jewish Hospital Nursing

Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Infusion - Outpatient Clinic Job Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day, 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30) Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks Experience: 5 years of RN experience required, infusion experience preferred License: Valid State License required at time of submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Chemo for Non-Oncology (preferred), Port Certification Must-Have: EPIC charting experience Job Description: - Provide infusion therapy for patients with non-oncologic diseases, including Biologics, Cytoxan, Rituxan, Remicade, Ocrevus, Tysabri, Solumedrol, Orencia, Actemra, Simponi, Benlysta, Cinqair, IVIG, and antibiotics.- Work collaboratively in pods with 2 nurses, managing 6-7 patient rooms and assisting with care across pods as needed.- Deliver safe and effective care while responding to call lights and patient beeps in a busy outpatient infusion center.- Orient with 40 hours of training and fit testing for PPE compliance.- Participate in a rotating weekend schedule and commit to working 2 out of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day).- No on-call requirement.- Open to first-time travelers with the required experience.- Required to wear navy scrubs.- Ensures facial hair complies with safety requirements. - Modules required for RNs and LVNs to be completed pre-start. - Complies with flu vaccine requirements, with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons.
