Reporting to Senior Director, Solutions Engineering, as the Senior Delivery Architect, you will be responsible for generating customer specific solution architectures and designs to address business problems. You will be working closely with Sales teams, Practices team, Product Management, the Delivery organization and with their Architect peers. You will generate solutions, respond to requests for quotes and estimates and provide continuity into professional services engagements upon successful closure of a sale.
Work closely with the client's IT, Network Operations, Planning and Engineering teams to understand existing business and system processes and to define new OSS system requirementsLead, assist and/or creates technical design specifications to align with client needs as well as contribute other project documentation to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of solutionsWork closely with BluePlanet and the clients architecture, design and development teams to ensure alignment between customer expectations and solution being developed throughout the project life-cycleWork independently and in a hands-on mannerFacilitate and/or participate in user acceptance testing, project workshops and other activities to ensure client teams are well-informed and engaged and projects are delivered to customer satisfaction.Facilitate and participate in workshops and design session both internally and externally to drive towards an optimal solution for a desired requirement while maintain pragmatism and meeting cost objectives.What Does Ciena Expect of You?

Demonstrated expert knowledge of the telecoms OSS domainDeep understanding of Telecom Network design and architecturesBroad end to end view across OSS and BSS technologies and ecosystems including associated technologies such as service assurance/analytics, SDN/NFV and cloud infrastructure, service orchestration & OSS automation, mediation, billing & charging, IoT and service exposure.Deep understanding of Inventory Management, Discovery, Activation, Performance, Fault and Network DeviceUnderstanding of the Telco OSS ecosystem and ideally knowledge of one or more of the following inventory systems - Amdocs ARM (Cramer), Ericsson Granite, Netcracker, Oracle MetaSolv, etc.Configuration processes from a functional and technical perspective.Expert domain knowledge in multiple telecom technologies (DWDM, Ethernet, IP, etc)Minimum of 5 years in the role of hands-on Solution Architecture in the telco OSS and/or BSS areas5+ years' experience in the OSS domainAssets:

Compensation and Benefits
The annual pay range for this position is 119,000 - 190,200 USD
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.
Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission. In addition to competitive compensation, Ciena offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, participation in 401(K) (USA) & DCPP (Canada) with company matching, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company-paid holidays, paid sick leave, and vacation time.
