The SAP/EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) Consultant will work to optimize warehouse operations and supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The purpose of the SAP Logistics/EWM consultant position is to provide design, implementation, and management of defined IT solutions within the SAP Demand to Supply area, with a strong focus on Warehouse Management functionality and its integration with Production Planning, Quality Management, and Logistics functionalities.
The role involves collaborating with global and regional organizations, as well as Shared Services and Production Sites, to drive solution consulting and design new solutions aligned with best practices. The objective is to achieve the highest level of efficiency and sustainability in the global manufacturing and logistics solutions for Covestro.
Major Tasks & Responsibilities:• Participate in gathering requirements, including design, implementation, and management of SAP Logistics/EWM solutions including the integration aspects for PP-PI, QM solutions.• Transfer implemented solutions into operations, ensuring smooth integration and functionality.• Stay updated with current market solutions and trends in the industry.• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, aligned with company values.• Manage projects of limited scope or subprojects within the EWM/MM/WM and integrated functional areas, collaborating closely with business stakeholders in the Demand to Supply (Dts) and Ready to Supply (Rts) integrated functional work streams.• Provide solution/technology consulting and actively partner and collaborate with business partners, I&O, and SCM key users during requirement gathering and project execution.• Execute and/or steer the technical resolution of escalated issues on a global and regional level.
Basic Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration/management, or a related field, with at least 4 years of related experience, OR a Master's degree in information technology, business administration/management, with at least 2 years of related experience• Minimum 1-2 full lifecycle implementations in SAP Logistics/WM Functional area, preferably with S4 HANA environment
Preferred Qualifications• SAP ABAP and/or Java/Web Application development experience
Knowledge and Skills• Excellent knowledge of S/4 HANA simple logistics, EWM functionality, and RF integration• Strong SAP EWM subject matter expertise (SME) with knowledge of Inbound Processing, Outbound Processing, Physical Inventory, RF Transactions, HU Management, and Production Integration• Proficient in troubleshooting and leading the evaluation and design of corrections for complex incidents, maintaining a high level of functional competency in the standard configuration of Extended Warehouse Management, and leveraging best practices and new trends in Covestro's current and future projects• Experience communicating technical and business issues/solutions to individuals at all levels, including process owners and stakeholders• Strong active listening skills and the ability to translate needs, concerns, and solutions across functional and stakeholder groups• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a tight project timeline• Demonstrated creativity balanced with practicality to meet business objectives and team needs• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills• Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and under pressure• Strong understanding of IT architecture and ERP development
CANDIDATE MUST HAVE VERIFICATION

Additional Comments:
Must be willing to work in a hybrid capacity (2-3 days in office) at our Pittsburgh campus, therefore Pittsburgh residence is required
