Salary Range: $69,230 - $90,000

The Scrum Master will use their expertise and experience in Agile and Scrum practices to help drive Agile best practices. They will coach and mentor the team through Agile methodology and act as the Scrum Master, working to remove impediments and participating in team activities.

Essential Job Functions:

Practice and encourage Agile mindset and behaviors - coach, inspire and mentor teams on Agile principles, values, and practices.

Facilitate and support scaled Agile Scrum meetings such as daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Sessions, Team Sync, and Innovation & Planning events.

Regularly utilize data and team metrics to demonstrate team capacity, predictability, and maturity.

Track team velocity towards goals and provide documentation such as burn-down charts for weekly and monthly status reports.

Act as a liaison between the team and others, minimizing interruptions to the sprint, keeping the team focused on delivering a quality product.

Ensure that the team has a clear understanding of "Definition of Done" and how to meet it.

Collaborate with Product Owners and Software Development teams to prioritize product backlog items by providing technical insight into the work being requested and identify upstream/downstream dependencies.

Promote regular and open communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress.

Ensure progress toward objectives, KPIs and commitments - guide assigned Agile teams to deliver the required product increments and outcomes.

Plan and execute within the commitments and roadmap developed.

Participate with management and cross-functional teams as subject matter expert to develop and improve operating policies and procedures related to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and be an advocate in adopting Agile best practices and processes.

Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to support contribution to the relentless improvement of Agile practices within the organization.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree required with 2 plus years' related experience. (Engineering/STEM).

2+ years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory Second level Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM II).

Second level Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM II).

Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.).

Skilled in facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.

Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment and work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously without impact to quality of work.

Experience being on Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes/organizations/cultures).

Demonstrated experience in issue identification and resolution.

Knowledge of JIRA and other Agile tools to measure team productivity and report metrics.

Must possess and utilize exceptional written and verbal communication skills to keep teams operating at maximum efficiency while also ensuring senior leaders and executive management are always informed of progress.

Adaptable and flexible in a cross-functional environment.

Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
