Provide technical research and recommendations for COTS software orgovernment-provided software to replace USAODC Legacy systems.•Provide technical support for Legacy to COTS/Government software datamapping.•Provide technical support for development of Legacy toCOTS/government software data migration plans.•Provide technical support for identification of Legacy features to beimplemented in the COTS/government software environment.•Provide technical support for develop and document system cut-overplans.•Provide user liaison support to ensure system functionality is retained and/orimproved.•Provide technical support for User Acceptance Testing. Must demonstrate substantial, hands-on, successful experience in actually doing the work on the systems being used, usually at least five years of such experience. Other systems environments will require other specific sets of skills. Requires broad knowledge of the Government's IT environments, including office automation networks, and PC and server-based databases and applications. Experience in a litigation support environment extremely helpful. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Supervisory experience very strongly preferred. Ability to lead a technical team, and to give it direction, will be very important, as will the demonstrated ability to analyze the attorneys' needs, and to design and implement a whole system solution responsive to those needs. Education Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, and 3 years of experience in the appropriate area. Work Hours This part-time role may require fewer days or hours per week, working up to approximately 18-20 hours per week across the year. The selected candidate will be expected to work on a flexible schedule based on project needs and coordination with the USAODC IT Applications Manager. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record in delivering IT functional expertise within government or related sectors, with an emphasis on the skills specified.
