The USAODC seeks a skilled IT Consultant to support the construction, implementation, and maintenance of data warehouses and new software systems, as well as interface development, web application support, and maintenance for existing applications. This position requires experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, system migrations, interface management, and web-based application development in multi-agency government environments. The ideal candidate will also have supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to analyze and fulfill the technical needs of legal and administrative personnel.
Responsibilities:
Gather requirements and performance indicators for the Case Statistics data warehouse.Construct, test, and maintain ETL processes to support data warehouse operations.Design and implement schema structures, staging areas, data marts, fact tables, and dashboards.Document technical aspects of all data warehouse components for USAODC.Research and recommend COTS/government software solutions for legacy system replacement.Support data mapping, migration, and cut-over planning from legacy systems to new environments.Provide technical support for User Acceptance Testing and ensure functionality retention.Develop and execute migration scripts, build interfaces with USAODC systems, and document processes.Develop interfaces with external agencies (CJCC, MPD, DCSC, OAG, PSA) for data and document exchange.Transition USAODC's transaction environment from Oracle to SQL Server and SOAP to REST API.Conduct interface testing, facilitate go-live support, and ensure smooth multi-agency data interactions.Analyze user requirements, create database objects, and design web-based user interfaces.Develop modules, forms, reports, and interfaces in the MS SQL Server environment.Conduct integration testing and provide post-implementation support for all UI projects.Develop and document system architecture and interconnectivity for USAODC applications.Modify existing applications (Oracle, MS Access) and implement roles-based access.Identify and address application security issues, execute mass data updates, and provide go-live support.Respond to ad-hoc user requests and recommend technical solutions.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.At least 3 years of hands-on experience with system implementation, data warehousing, and/or litigation support in a government IT environment.Proficiency in data and process modeling, requirements analysis, system documentation, and project planning.Experience with XML, JSON, SOAP, REST API, CSS, HTML5, .Net (C#), and Java.Familiarity with MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Linux, Windows, Apache, and Apache Tomcat.Skills in using Tableau, Power BI, SQL Server Integration Services, Oracle Developer Suite, PL/SQL, ERWin, TOAD, and MS Access.Benefits
