Job Description

THIS POSTING IS TO FILL THE CURRENT VACANCIES AND ANY FUTURE VACANCIES THAT MAY OCCUR IN THE NEXT SIX (6) MONTHS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field is required. Two years of professional software development with experience implementing software applications in an enterprise environment. Must have well developed analytical skills with ability to concentrate and pay close attention to details. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required. Must be proficient in the use of workstations, laptops, and basic network connectivity with ability to troubleshoot technical problems. Knowledge of database management systems is desired. Directly related work experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis in-lieu of educational requirement.

The selection process may include one or more components to demonstrate applicants' knowledge, skills and abilities in job related areas. These may include exercises such as practical demonstrations, written communications, oral interviews and/or competency assessments.

SUMMARY

Works with MARTA employees to identify technology needs, and to modify and/or improve existing information systems. Responsible for performing system configurations development, coding and testing of Oracle system programs and modules with low to moderate complexity. Under supervision of lead Analyst or Manager, works on multiple assignments depending on scope and complexity. With direction, performs production support activities of low/moderate complexity to include software development and implementation. Provides on-call coverage, producing user enhancements and other support tasks as requested by the users or approved by the lead Analyst or Manager.

ISA I-ERP Financials

Performs development, coding and testing of the Oracle Financial Application (ERP) systems with low/moderate complexity; will work on multiple assignments at a time depending on complexity and scope. Provide Financial functional/technical assistance in the areas of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budgeting, Fixed assets, Cash Management, Treasury, Purchasing, Inventory, Order Management, Grants and Project Accounting. specific work objectives are communicated by the team lead/manager, with regular monitoring of project tasks and results. Non-routine problems or requests for technical assistance are brought to the attention of the manager. This scope of direction and guidelines applies to all responsibilities and performance expectations for this position.

ISA I-Client Server Applications

Responsible for supporting and implementing all MARTA's critical systems with low/moderate complexity; will work on multiple assignments at a time, depending on scope and complexity. Provide functional/technical assistance in the areas of client server applications support and enhancements. Specific work objectives are communicated by the team lead/manager, with regular monitoring of project tasks and results. Non-routine problems or requests for technical assistance are brought to the attention of the manager. ISA I-ERP HR-Payroll

Performs development, coding and testing of the Oracle HR an Payroll Applications (ERP) systems with low/moderate complexity; will work on multiple assignments at a time depending on scope and complexity. Provide functional/technical assistance in the areas of HR and Payroll. Specific work objectives are communicated by the team lead/manager, with regular monitoring of project tasks and results. Non-routine problems or requests for technical assistance are brought to the attention of the manager. This scope of direction and guidelines applies to all responsibilities and performance expectations for this position.

ISA I-EAM

Performs development, coding and testing of the Maximus enterprise Asset Management (EAM) System with low/moderate complexity; will work on multiple assignments at a time depending on scope and complexity. Provide functional/technical assistance in the areas of EAM support and enhancements, especially interfaces between EAM and Oracle. Specific work objectives are communicated by the team lead/manager, with regular monitoring of project tasks and results. Non-routine problems or requests for technical assistance are brought to the attention of the manager. This scope of direction and guidelines applies to all responsibilities and performance expectations for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Under direct supervision consults with users to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements for Oracle systems modules involving reports, interfaces and enhancements.

2. Under direct supervision prepares detailed Oracle program specifications and code required to develop, maintain, and enhance Oracle systems modules with low/moderate complexity.

3. With direction, performs production support activities of low/moderate complexity to include software development and implementation. Provides on-call coverage, producing user enhancements and other support tasks as requested by the users or approved by the lead Analyst or Manager.

4. Plans and conducts comprehensive unit tests of new and enhanced modules based on technical and detailed specifications.

5. Performs regression and integration testing for upgrade and enhancements. Prepares written documentation necessary to support the maintenance and processing of new and enhanced modules. Prepares periodic status reports.

6. Performs other related duties as assigned.
