Senior Linux Systems Administrator

GCI, a company dedicated to delivering high-value mission solutions, is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operational support of Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems and applications, as well as maintaining virtual and physical infrastructure in AWS environments. Key responsibilities include ensuring system security, developing and maintaining documentation, and collaborating with other IT professionals to solve complex problems. Key Responsibilities: Provide daily operational support for Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems and applications Support virtual and physical infrastructure of servers running CentOS in dev, test, and production configurations Develop and maintain environments running in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Maintain the integrity and security of systems by monitoring security feeds and dashboards Develop and maintain standards and procedures for applications across a complex computing infrastructure Monitor application and operating system performance, analyze incidents, and develop testing strategies Leverage scripting and system automation tools Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Extensive experience with Redhat and/or Centos Demonstrated experience with VMWare ESXi infrastructure 6.x vCenter server Demonstrated experience with Ansible and/or Puppet Experience with building, upgrading, and maintaining applications and services in an AWS account Experience collaborating with other IT professionals to solve complex problems This position requires a TS/SCI with Poly security clearance.
