J41 Hybrid 3 days onsite/ 2 days offsite Clarity yes/no: No Select Agent: No Description Details Job Description: Job Summary: The Business Data Analyst will be responsible for data modeling, Power BI dashboard creation and maintenance, ETL automation, ad-hoc reporting, and long term analytical and statistical projects. The Business Data Analyst will support cross-functional stakeholders and work with multiple sources and a wide range of data technologies and systems (e.g. SQL, Power BI, Hive, etc) Primary Duties and Responsibilities Creating and maintaining data dictionaries, use cases, functional and non-functional requirements documents, test plans and other project documents Assisting with requirements facilitation and KPI definition/alignment Assisting with user acceptance testing Assisting with dashboard demos and feedback gathering Think strategically and analytically about business and technical challenges, with the ability to work cross functionally Ability to distill problem definitions, models, and constraints from informal business requirements Demonstrate deep understanding of source data from various internal/external systems Support key business systems and applications Further establish the newly implemented change management process Communicate and present findings to stakeholders Work in an ambiguous environment, drawing out and developing business requirements to meet changing needs Working with technical teams to capture data driven metrics Qualifications BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or relevant work experience Demonstrated strength in SQL, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing Advanced experience in Power BI Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other similar BI tools The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with development of metrics and business analytics, and have the aptitude to incorporate new approaches and methodologies, and a strong understanding of Data Warehouse (DW) concepts, while dealing with ambiguity Excellent business and communication skills are a must to develop and define key business questions and to build data sets that answer those questions Should be able to work cohesively with stakeholders to understand business requirements and implement reporting solutions Years of experience/education and/or certifcations required: BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance 5yrs experience in this type of role What are the top 3-5 skills requirements should this person have? Demonstrated strength in SQL, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing 3 yrs Experience with Power BI Demonstrate deep understanding of source data from various internal/external systems.
