The HR Program Support Specialist will serve the critical functions related to day-to-day office operations to include providing support for employee engagement and recognition, administrative office support, and employee data maintenance. This Specialist is a point of contact for many employees to provide excellent customer service, ensure accurate, timely communication, reporting and data management, and supporting Human Resources & Personnel Success staff in procuring necessary resources. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Employee Engagement & Recognition Provide excellent, responsive customer service to employees, students, and guests as a member of the Human Resources & Personnel Success team Regularly pull reports and manage the employee awards and recognition functions to ensure employees receive service awards upon reaching service milestones Support the college in taking appropriate steps for employee recognition and award submissions and nominations Coordinate with the Director of Personnel Success in developing and sending out the college's monthly employee engagement newsletter Promote sense of awareness and understanding of what it means to support a diverse workforce through inclusive and equitable HR practices Database Input and Maintenance Regularly conduct audits and updates of personnel records and data within HR Information Systems to include data entry Coordinate electronic records management, including scanning and indexing of HR documents. Provide support to the Technical Specialists during peak onboarding seasons to set-up new employees through data entry Support with annual reporting and incoming data requests regarding Human Resources This role requires expertise in using Excel spreadsheets in working with different reports and data management Administrative Support Conduct background checks for all incoming employees Support in planning and administrative functions of Human Resources events Responsible for updating and maintaining HR resources and documents in the college intranet portal in coordination with the Strategic Communications department Complete monthly budget reporting processes for any purchases made Support oversight of the Human Resources department email inbox Manage HR supply replenishment Other related duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATION Strong attention to detail and data input skills Ability to be informed and regularly acquire current best practices and policies including pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations related to payroll and employment. Demonstrated knowledge and expertise using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat to develop, maintain, and analyze spreadsheets, forms, and reports. Expertise in Microsoft Excel required. Strong ability to work in a team environment. Strong organizational skills under strict deadlines. PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS Graduation from a college/university with a bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Public Administration, or related field. Substitutable with professional or technical Human Resources experience on a year for year basis. Prior experience with HRIS or data systems such as Banner, COGNOS, FLAC processing, BDMS, or NEOGOV/NeoEd. Experience with Project Management support from start to finish Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR) or Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Salary Range: Anticipated starting salary range is $50, 968.32 annually. This salary is determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate balanced with departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information. CCA offers an excellent , including generous leave, holiday, and education benefits. Full time employees immediately upon hire earn 15 hours a month annual leave and 10 hours a month sick leave.
