A large hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced ER/Emergency Room RNs for a travel assignment.Float Policy: Can be float between St. Joseph's Main, St. Joseph's Westgate, and the 2 Free Standing ERs in Litchfield Park & Glendale.- Unit: ED / Trauma- # beds: Acute - 36 and Subacute - 54.Trauma bays - 6 (no travelers)- Charge Nurse: 2 Charge RNs - will task or have light patient load.- Nurse Aides: 4-PCTs for sitters.- Hospitalist or Intensivists in house: Minimum of 2 MDs or as many as 8. Midlevels also utilized.- IV Team: Core RNs are US trained.- RT 24/7: Yes- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, Pharmacist in ER 10hrs/day- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Trauma, Burns and Peds transferred out. CP Center, Spinal Cord TBIN certification. 88,000 patients per year, 250-300 per day.Additional Notes: 30-40 psych holds.Job Requirements
The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC.Also must have an active AZ license or compact.Required Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALSPreferred Certs: TNCC and ATCN**ENPC not allowed to replace PALS Cert**- Ratios: 1:4 ratio- Scrub Color: Navy- Vents: Managed by RT2 years ER experience.Schedule Information
- Shifts: 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 11a-11p, 1p-1a- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per month, at unit discretion12 hour days, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidaysUnit Specific Information
- Tele: Phillips monitors, must be able to read strips- EMR: CernerED does Foley catheter insertion but does port-a-cath insertion instead of central line dressing change- Floating: Float within ER
