Must have 2 years of experienceHold an active BLS, ACLS, PALSActive AZ license or compactMust have 1 year of trauma level 1 experience; will screen 8 months+Must have Cerner experienceNo first time travelers**DAY 1 PASS FAIL EXAM: STUDY GUIDE PROVIDED WITH FDIPASS FAIL SIMs Lab: All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changesSchedule Information
Shifts: 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 11a-11p, 1p-1aWeekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per month, at unit discretion12 hour nights, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidaysUnit Specific Information
Unit: ED / Trauma# beds: Acute - 36 and Subacute - 54. Trauma bays - 6 (no travelers)Ratios: 1:4 ratioEMR: CernerCharge Nurse: 2 Charge RNs - will task or have light patient loadNurse Aides: 4-PCTs for sittersScrub Color: NavyTele: Phillips monitors, must be able to read stripsVents: Managed by RTHospitalist or Intensivists in house: Minimum of 2 MDs or as many as 8. Midlevels also utilized.IV Team: Core RNs are US trainedRT 24/7: YesPharmacy 24/7: Yes, Pharmacist in ER 10hrs/dayFloor specific orientation: 2-3 shifts on the floorFloating: Float within ERAdditional Details
