SummaryThe EHR Application Support Analyst offers in-depth expertise on the functionality of EHR solutions, primarily EPIC, and possesses a thorough understanding of end-user workflows and the specific needs of various departments. This role involves developing and delivering comprehensive training programs, including refresher courses, efficiency training, new employee onboarding, and training for system upgrades. The analyst plays a critical role in supporting the implementation of existing and future EHR systems and modules, as well as managing system conversions as they relate to a community connect health system. By ensuring that healthcare staff are well-trained and operational workflows are effectively implemented, the EHR Application Support Analyst helps maintain the smooth operation and desired performance of EHR utilization within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the main liaison for assigned Ambulatory Clinics, thoroughly understanding their processes and workflows. Possess advanced knowledge of all applications used within these clinics.Application Expertise and Support: Provide specialized knowledge and support for all clinic applications, ensuring their optimal functionality and addressing any issues that arise.Workflow Testing: Actively participate in testing workflows during system upgrades to ensure seamless transitions and minimal disruptions to clinic operations.Documentation Maintenance: Maintain comprehensive documentation on system processes andprocedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible.Staying Current: Keep abreast of new application functionalities, educational opportunities, ongoing projects, and system enhancements to continuously improve clinic operations.Role-Based Training Program: Develop and deliver a role-based training program across all clinics to ensure staff are proficient in using clinic applications.End-User Training and Support: Train, assess, and support end-users to enhance their proficiency with clinic applications, providing ongoing assistance as needed.Training Materials Creation: Create and maintain detailed training materials that are clear, concise, and effective for end-user education.Policy and Procedure Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation of training policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.Data Auditing and Validation: Perform regular data auditing and validation to ensure the accuracy and integrity of system data.Customer Service and Troubleshooting: Provide exceptional customer service to users, troubleshooting and resolving application and system issues promptly.System Issue Resolution: Communicate and resolve system issues efficiently to maximize the potential of the system and minimize downtime.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in cross-functional work teams, collaborating with various stakeholders to identify functional needs and develop effective solutions.Issue Documentation and Reporting: Document and report system issues through the internal chain of command, and communicate with vendors when appropriate to resolve issues.Professional Development: Continuously maintain and develop professional skills through both hospital-provided and self-directed training opportunities.HIPAA Compliance: Demonstrate high standards in HIPAA privacy practices, ensuring the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) in daily job duties.System Values and Compliance: Exhibit System Values in all performance and behavior, and comply with all System policies and procedures.Additional Duties: Perform other duties as may be assigned to support the overall mission and goals of the organization.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
