GIS Developer

Job Description*ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT FULL-TIME ANNUALLY PAID PARKS EMPLOYEES*Major Responsibilities- Under administrative direction, with broad latitude of independent actions or decision, develop and maintain advanced GIS applications that support the planning, management, and operational needs of parks and recreational facilities.- Design, develop, and implement GIS applications and tools using the ESRI ArcGIS platform to support various departmental needs.- Utilize Python for scripting and automation tasks within the GIS environment. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to GIS applications.- Collaborate with team leads to produce outage reports and ensure proper automated notifications are distributed when outages occur or when there is a change in the production environment.- Assist in the development and review of technical specifications for automation and monitoring solutions.- Develop and maintain standards and guidelines for implementing IT automation and monitoring.- Conduct spatial analysis and generate reports to support decision-making processes. Develop dashboards and visualizations to present findings effectively.- Ensure the quality and accuracy of GIS data through regular audits and validation processes.
