The IT Cyber Security Analyst will execute strategies, best practices, and user education programs to safeguard company computer assets, networks, and information from cyber threats. The role will also execute processes and provide documentation to prove compliance with all government regulations. Typical responsibilities include execution or IT self-audit processes, monitoring of cyber detection solutions, and investigation of exceptions when sensors are tripped. The role is also responsible for executing user education programs and executing cyber projects. This position will be required to come into office to work and with flexibility to work remotely as needed. Interrelationship: Must be able to communicate effectively to all potential and current staff of Preventive Measures. Primary Job Responsibilities: Executes monitoring and auditing of cybersecurity controls and submits findings to senior management. Follows up on all IT and audit findings to drive the IT organization to complete mitigation plans. Investigates all exceptions produced by monitoring systems and drives to resolve any detected threats (report results and management develops a strategy around investigating) Participates in new application design reviews to ensure approved security architectures are used. Coordinates with both internal IT and external vendor resources to ensure compliance for mobile, web, and custom applications. Coordinates the training and education of all employees on security-related issues; facilitates the proactive communication to all employees of preventative security practices, maintains the Information Security intranet web page as a conduit of information to company employees, provides information security collateral for new employee orientations Participates in containment (incident response process- have to contain the virus), mitigation, and forensic assessments as part of the incident response process Perform Security Controls Testing in accordance with documented procedures to maintain NERC CIP compliance. Execute a variety of security/compliance processes following client's procedures. Monitor, respond to and resolve security related alerts associated with related assets and networks. Utilize Zendesk ticketing system to document status updates and problem resolutions. Document and Assess security monitoring and scanning infrastructure. Determine security issues and gaps by using a risk based approach. Identify opportunities to improve workflow and security posture Other related duties assigned as needed for this security, compliance and oversite role. Experience working in a regulated environment such as NERC CIP, SOX or HIPAA. Ability to adapt to a technically complex and ever changing environment. Analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to thoroughly document, communicate and adhere to processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and able to work well in a team environment. Identifies and resolves highly complex issues to prevent cyber-attacks on information systems and to keep computer information systems secure from interruption of service, intellectual property theft, network viruses, data mining, financial theft, and theft of sensitive customer data, allowing business to continue as normal. Responds to incidents, investigates violations, and recommends enhancements to plug potential security gaps. 1-3 years of experience. Executes cybersecurity projects as required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, or combination of education and experience Three (3) or more years of recent IT Security experience Preferred Experience with the following: Ability to perform risk analysis and evaluation Knowledge of cloud, midrange, client-server, and network environments Extensive knowledge of advanced security and contingency planning concepts, including but not limited to data integrity, authentication, and authorization firewall topologies as applied to the Internet, Intranet, Extranet deployment Skills to gather and evaluate data, formulate concise conclusions, cost-justify and recommend corrective actions Planning and leadership skills Electronic Health Records Systems - Advanced MD, Generations IDB, Share Note, HHA Job Skills: Strong MS Office Proactive, great communicator, and exercises a sense of urgency Demonstrated ethical conduct Good organizational skills, task and detail oriented and ability to manage enterprise-wide projects to in support of systems and transformation efforts. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Knowledge of medical credentialing and privileging procedures and standards. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Proficient touch-typing skills. Ability to focus for extended periods. Knowledge of general system administration and exposure to office 365, Electronic Health Records systems, Human Resource Information Systems, from an administration standpoint. Education/Experience: BS Computer Science and/or related degrees Minimum of 3-5 year experience in the technology and work environments.
