Other considerations include free parking, team-approached interdisciplinary care, friendly environment and the satisfaction that our patients are receiving the best care available.Job Overview:The Central Service Technician decontaminates, cleans, assembles, requisitions, stores, and sterilizes supplies, instruments sets, and trays according to policy and procedure while using aseptic technique. Works closely with OR personnel and is responsible for the OR case carts and maintaining the OR / CS supply room and supporting other Hospital departments with their sterilization needs.This position is per diem, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $24.23 - $34.20/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.Responsibilities:Demonstrates basic knowledge of the principles of asepsis, infection control and standard precautionsDemonstrates basic knowledge and principles of sterilizationResponsible for ordering and maintaining inventory and suppliesServes as liaison between the OR and CS, providing supplies, instruments and case cartsThis is not an all-inclusive list of this jobs responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.Qualifications:Minimum:HS Diploma or GED equivalentPreferred:Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)1+ year of hospital experience
