Wages & Benefits
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour; Generous Paid Time Off (PTO), plus 11 paid holidays and two floating holidays; competitive health, dental, and vision insurance; Health Savings Account (HSA), and options for Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). There is employer paid basic life insurance with the option for additional coverage paid by the employee. The employer pays for Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and short- and long-term disability insurance. SCC sponsors a retirement plan with 4% employer match and immediate vesting.
A Typical Day in the Life...
A typical day as Sabathani's Executive Assistant provides an opportunity to be the supportive force that empowers our senior leadership, including providing high-level administrative services, calendar management, and development of communications on behalf of the CEO. Responsibilities will include the following:Providing high-level administrative support services to the CEO, ensuring professional, responsive, and seamless operations and service from the executive office of Sabathani.Providing sophisticated calendar management to ensure smooth daily operations, including complex, prioritized scheduling informed by the CEO's priorities and scheduling preferences, navigating and troubleshooting scheduling conflicts, making sound judgments and recommendations, and scheduling virtual meetings with virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom, MS Teams, etc.Planning and orchestrating work to ensure the CEO's priorities are being met, organizational goals are being achieved, and best practices are being implemented.Coordinating, prepping materials, attending, and documenting board meetings; creating a structured process around board activities, communications, and engagement.Developing articulate correspondence, presentations, reports, and memos on behalf of the CEO's office using proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.Establishing and implementing administrative policies, procedures, and protocols across all administrative functions.Maintaining accurate filing and communication systems, including archiving, document management, and contact management.Researching topics and preparing information for the CEO's review in a straightforward, applicable format.Professionally representing the CEO's office interfacing with internal staff, external partners, funders, tenants, contractors, and vendors as directed by the CEO.Serving as administrative backup to other absent admin staff.Who You Are
You have 5-10 years of experience supporting senior leaders, preferably in a nonprofit or public sector setting.You possess experience and cultural competence in serving diverse populations and understand the social and economic disparities experienced by the Sabathani service community.You have an interest in working in the human services nonprofit sector; experience working in a nonprofit setting preferred, and knowledge of the South Minneapolis area is desired.You exhibit impeccable judgment and uncompromising integrity.You are an analytical, strategic thinker with the ability to quickly learn organizational dynamics, anticipate needs, and initiate appropriate action.You have experience managing complex calendars and understand scheduling protocols.You are proficient in the advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and have a working knowledge of Zoom, MS Teams, and other virtual meeting platforms.You demonstrate the ability to understand "big picture" strategic objectives without losing sight of the details.You are committed to results, with a "can-do" mindset and emphasis on personal accountability.You possess the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with diplomacy and exhibit strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.You can adjust work hours as needed, including attending evening board meetings.You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.You hold a valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet Sabathani's driving record requirements.
