Job Description

We are looking for a skilled

Linux Administrator

to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing and troubleshooting Linux systems, with a strong understanding of virtualization, web servers, and deployment technologies. You will be responsible for the management and maintenance of Linux-based infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer, manage, and troubleshoot

Linux

environments, ensuring system stability and performance.Manage and maintain virtualization platforms, including

VMware ESXi/vCenter .Configure and manage web servers using

Nginx .Administer

MSSQL

databases, ensuring their availability, performance, and security.Manage and support

MacOS

systems within the environment.Implement and manage high availability solutions using

HAProxy

and

KeepaliveD .Automate and streamline operational processes using

Ansible .Perform server deployments, including

Baremetal on UCS , virtual machine deployment, and server migrations.Proactively monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Linux systems with other infrastructure components.Mandatory Skills:

Strong experience in

Linux administration

and troubleshooting.Experience with

VMware ESXi/vCenter

for managing virtualized environments.Knowledge of

MSSQL

and

Nginx

web server administration.Familiarity with

MacOS

system management.Expertise in high availability technologies like

HAProxy

and

KeepaliveD .Proficiency in automation and configuration management using

Ansible .Hands-on experience with

bare-metal deployments on UCS , virtual machine deployment, and server migration.Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms such as

AWS

or

Azure

is a plus.Certifications in

Linux ,

VMware , or other relevant technologies are highly desirable.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other teamsEstimated annual compensation range for this role will be from $90,825 to $139,208.Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Infosys employee you are also eligible for the following benefits:-
