Job Summary:
The Operations Support role focuses on managing various aspects of retirement account operations, including contributions, distributions, and tax form reporting.
The position requires a solid understanding of IRS regulations and tax forms, such as 1099R, 1099Q, and 5498.
The Operations Support Analyst will perform data analysis, resolve customer issues, and assist with process improvements, while ensuring compliance with tax rules and accurate transaction recording.
Key Responsibilities:Handle customer requests, problem resolution, and data analysis related to retirement operations.Perform problem resolution for retirement operations, including contributions, distributions, conversions, recharacterizations, and state withholding reconciliation.Reconcile transactions to ensure accurate record-keeping and entry coding.Assist management in developing metrics to track the progress of retirement inquiry resolutions.Process customer requests for funds transfers from retirement accounts.Understand tax implications of transactions across different retirement account types.Resolve retirement account issues and document the resolution process.Validate data integrity in client-facing displays to ensure accurate information.Required Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree required.Familiarity with IRS publications 590A and 590B, as well as retirement tax form reporting (1099R, 1099Q, 5498, and 5498ESA).Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated ability to adapt to dynamic work environments and handle client-driven demands.Sense of urgency and ownership in resolving inquiries and issues.Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience with retirement products and services is highly desirable.Knowledge of IRS contributions and distribution rules.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
