Description
The Quality Engineer responsibilities include:
- Chair Material Review Board: Lead meetings to analyze non-conforming components, determine suitable dispositions, and implement process improvements.
- Customer Complaint Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for advanced quality issues, investigating root causes and coordinating corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
- Non-Conforming Material Oversight: Identify, segregate, and manage critical non-conforming materials, working with production and suppliers to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct Advanced Inspections: Perform thorough inspections throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with quality standards and recommending process enhancements as necessary.
- Drive Quality Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities for quality enhancement and develop strategic initiatives to improve product and process quality.
- Data Analysis and Trending: Utilize Microsoft Office and other analytical tools to analyze quality data, identify trends, and communicate findings to the team.
- Lead Audits: Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Develop Quality Assurance Protocols: Create, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures and documentation for all manufacturing processes.
- Facilitate Process Improvement: Lead root cause problem-solving efforts and process improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
Profile
The successful Quality Engineer Candiate will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role within the manufacturing industry
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive quality improvement initiatives effectively.
- Expert knowledge of advanced quality assurance methodologies, tools, and inspection equipment.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively across various departments and with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred certifications include Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA), and Lead Quality Auditor.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards and their implementation.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other tools for data analysis and trending.
- Able to meet physical requirements, including standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights.
