The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate transactions, title examination, and closing processes. This role will involve supporting attorneys in all aspects of commercial real estate title work and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct title searches and examinations to identify any issues or encumbrances on properties.
- Prepare title commitments, title opinions, and closing documents.
- Review and analyze title reports, surveys, and related documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of real estate closing statements and settlement documents.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders throughout the transaction process.
- Maintain and organize case files, documentation, and records.
- Research and stay updated on relevant real estate laws and regulations.
- Provide general support to attorneys as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in real estate or legal studies.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on commercial real estate preferred.
- Proficient in title software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of title examination, commercial real estate transactions, and closing procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
