The Washington, DC Office of ArentFox Schiff LLP is seeking an associate to join the 3rd-4th year class for its Intellectual Property Litigation Group, with a focus on trademark and copyright litigation. 

The good faith base salary range for this position is a minimum of $240,000 to a maximum of $275,000 per year. The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, years of relevant experience, education, applicable bar admissions, and the candidate’s overall qualifications for the position as assessed by the Firm.

Qualifications: We are looking for a candidate that is passionate about IP and brand protection, has a can-do positive attitude, and is ready, willing and eager to work on (and eventually run) cases from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have substantial hands-on trademark and copyright litigation experience including some or all of the following: preparing complaints and answers for federal court, conducting discovery and document review, preparing for and taking or defending depositions, research and writing motions such as discovery motions, motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, Daubert and motions in limine, among others. Candidates should also have experience in proceedings before the TTAB. Experience with trademark prosecution and domain name proceedings is not required but is a plus. Candidates should also possess strong time management skills, have excellent writing and analytical skills and be highly organized and detail-oriented. Candidates should be licensed and in good standing in DC (or able to waive into the DC bar).
