YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Summary:

The Product Manager is primarilyresponsible for the development, implementation, and execution of the ColonyGums portfolio. We need a teammate whois nimble, seeks out information, loves a team atmosphere, and is excited toquickly grow Colony's presence in the Americas as well as Globally throughBrenntag Nutrition.

Job Description:
  • Represents the Team for Colony Gums and the greater Brenntag,
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Colony suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain vendor performance reviews as needed. Support FISM requirements,
  • Manages sourcing, costing, day to day execution, spot pricing, etc of the Colony Hydrocolloid portfolio as well the excipients added to the custom blends
  • Coordinate activities with IMM and Supply Chain, throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure inventory minimum and established deadlines are met.
  • Responsible of the code creation process. Gather all relevant information, initiate the process, and follow up. Liaise with vendor to support all QC/QA/Regulatory docs required for vendor onboarding.
  • Participates with sales management, Industry Market Managers and Business Development Managers in establishing recommended price changes base on market intel.
  • In charge of Contract Management for Colony Gums. Making sure we pull what we need from vendors and Sales pushed on customers to take what they have commit to.
  • Support working capital, ROP, MOQ, turns, and slow-moving inventory guidelines as set by Brenntag. Actively participate on Inventory calls
  • Define industry-specific primary product baskets for Colony Gums portfolio.
  • Work with the Sale steam and identify profitable opportunities and develop customer specific baskets/solution configurations.
  • Collaborate with other business units to ensure proper utilization of resources and stocks, develop synergies, and share best practices.
  • Support new product introductions and steer product compliance.
  • Update sales force on new products (including trainings/briefings).
  • Maintain professional relationships with internal teams and other departments.
  • Derive pricing input from market knowledge and supplier information and define value-based pricing guidelines.
  • Inform sales management/sales force / Pricing Team / Supply Chain about Cost changes.
  • Maintain prices accuracy in the system for assign products and lines.
  • Control product costs and optimize GP margins.
  • Communicate market changes and outlook to Commercial Team through market reports.
  • Travel to our overseas manufacturers once a year, with quality, for audits for FISM compliance, increase cooperation, and to cement the generational vendor relationships Colony has built.
  • Liaise with theGlobal Strategy Team to develop and leverage the expertise at Colony in otherregions such as EMAE and Asia.


YOUR PROFILE

Education and Experience:
  • University degree in relevant field.
  • Previous work experience (3-5 years) in specialty chemical field (distribution) - e.g., distributor, manufacturer.
  • Strong product and market knowledge of respective Industry/Application.
  • Sound computer skills in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analyzing market information and identifying trends/focus areas.
  • Superior interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong in relationship building with suppliers.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in matters pertaining to supplier relationships, pricing and market trends.
  • Pricing capability, incl. ability to see and reinforce link between pricing and business strategy or quantitative skills and analytical rigor.
  • Strong team player
  • Must be able toobtain all necessary clearances.
