What to Expect

The Instrumentation & Controls Construction Project Manager will work on large scale ground-up Engineering-Procurement-Construction project that requires exceptional talent. Our product portfolio is expanding with never-built-before production lines. The I&C Project Manager will lead an internal self-perform group of I&C electricians to construct the Semi production facility. The position is in Sparks, NV.

What You'll Do
  • Manage the construction and installation of instrumentation and control systems, ensuring timely delivery and within-budget completion, responsible for coordinating with engineering and field execution team to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Proficiency in reading P&IDs and technical specifications is key
  • Works with the field trade crews to implement engineered control automation designs for heavy chemical and process utility systems
  • Interface with engineers to develop alternative designs to overcome field install and commissioning issues. This includes submitting engineering "request for information", performing field walks, design exploration meetings to resolve issues in a timely fashion
  • Works with the engineering, construction and supply chain teams to specify/purchase/track sensors, variable frequency drives, PLC panels and automated control valves for install
  • Track productivity and cost of installations against approved budget and highlight weekly burn rates for field installation crews
  • Liaison with facilities operations and manufacturing teams to turnover completed and functional utility process. And ensure that no outstanding design or implementation punch list items remain
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio. Proficiency with using P6 or Microsoft project schedules experience
  • Basic background in 3D model, control / electrical / process design, instrument calibration and testing
  • Strong willingness to collaborate cross-functionally, work hands-on, and dive into open-ended projects in a fast-paced evolving environment
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Well organized with meticulous attention to detail
