Mechanical Assembler

MagTech is currently hiring for a mechanical assembler for a manufacturing client in the Walled Lake, MI area. Please apply below if you are interested and meet the qualifications.

Description:

Responsibilities:
Mechanical assemblers are responsible to use tools and equipment to assemble parts, pieces, and products for machines or mechanical products.

• Prepare work
  Read and understand blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions. They may also study assembly instructions and parts lists.
• Position parts
  Follow instructions and drawings to position parts correctly for proper fit and assembly on the machine or component being constructed.
• Assemble components
  Use hand and power tools to mechanically fasten parts and subassemblies together. They may also connect cables, tubes, valves, fittings and wires.
• Test machinery
  Make sure the machinery is working as expected and make adjustments as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Accurately read and use a measuring tape
• Read blueprints and CAD drawings
• Strong problem solving skills
• 2 years minimum experience in a mechanical position
• Ability to lift 40lbs
• Use of all mechanical hand and power tools (sockets, wrenches, drills, Etc)
