Position Description:
Workers Compensation Claims Handler at the Plant with a focus on excellent customer service, quality claims handling, and loss cost management. Plant-based position with hybrid work schedule to be considered.
Skills Required:Set up and enter new claims into a claim management system, ensuring claim coding is correct and files are properly documented.Perform critical claim technical tasks including plant investigations and 3-point contacts. Interview claimants, employers, medical professionals, legal counsel and witnesses and prepare thorough investigation summaries.Prepare files for outside counsel. Assist in management of all elements of claim files to reduce or maintain medical costs, lost time duration and litigation expenses.Participate in case management meetings and collaborate with medical, human resources and labor to facilitate a return-to-work plan for workers compensation and related absences.Supports other claim representatives with larger or more complex claims as necessary.Process medical and related expense paymentsPrefer Ability to interpret and analyze complex information.Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.Organize and prioritize workload and manage multiple priorities.Ability to work a flexible work schedule. Maintain professional client relationships
Experience Required:
1-3 years of related Workers Compensation experience
Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
