Education/experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business or related field or equivalent experience, education, and training preferred. Previous progressive Administrative and/or Human Resources experience.
Job Summary
Provides operational and programmatic support of human resources processes and systems to ensure data integrity and the efficient functioning of business processes, specifically within the employment services area. This position will partner with other members of the HR team, and work collaboratively to implement HR policies, practices and procedures and actively contribute to the overall goals and priorities of the Office of Human Resources.
Required Qualifications
Previous progressive Administrative and/or Human Resources experience. Good working knowledge of human resources principles, practices and regulations involving benefits, employment and compensation. Advanced computer experience required with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products and familiarity with HRIS, ATS and ERP systems. Experience with data analysis is helpful. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing. Understand and behave with a high level of integrity and complete confidentiality at all times. Ability to provide exceptional customer service and respond to needs/concerns of students, faculty, staff and the public. Ability to work under pressure with a high tolerance for interruptions while meeting deadlines, prioritizing work and attending to detail in a time-sensitive, high volume work environment. Must demonstrate initiative in completing tasks and solving problems with the ability to thrive in a team setting.
Additional Considerations
SHRM-CP, PHR and/or SPHR certification desired. Familiarity with Banner, PeopleAdmin, Cognos, and PMIS preferred. Experience working in a Human Resources office in a higher education or state government setting. Experience with processing I-9's and E-Verify.
