The Supply Technician will primarily perform all Supply functions in accordance with the PerformanceWork Statement (PWS), M1 policy, DAFI 21-101(and supplements), as well as industry standards.Responsibilities may include:* Performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storagemanagement, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities.Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty,complexity, or responsibility.* Performs assignments related to stable or standardized segments of technical supply managementoperations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The workgenerally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration ofprogram requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.* Assignments requires: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs,policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understandingof the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize thedimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take orrecommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.* Performs all required Supply Technician duties in an Air Force aircraft maintenance environment IAWthe PWS, Company Policy, applicable AFIs, and industry standards.* Performs Government Property Management and supply level accountability IAW applicable guidance.* Maintains aircraft and support equipment forms and records IAW AF procedures utilizing AFInformation Systems and forms as required.* Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed.* Position requires complying with unique commuting/travel requirements.Qualifications and Experience:* High school diploma or GED is required.* Minimum of three years USAF supply management experience and experience operating a supplywarehouse. Attainment of an Air Force 5 level (or equivalent) in associated field is highly desired.* Working knowledge of principles applying to aircraft systems, concepts and applications ofmaintenance directives, data reporting, and using technical data is mandatory.* Knowledge of Air Force supply and efficiency reporting procedures is mandatory.* Knowledge of the proper handling, use, and disposal of hazardous waste and materials is mandatory.* Must speak, read, write, and understand English.* Must be able to obtain/maintain the security clearance level as mandated by the governmentcustomer.* Must possess a current valid U.S. Driver's License.* Must be able to move about both inside aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within closeproximity of running equipment and aircraft.* Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines whilemaintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude.* Must be able to work day, night, weekend, or overtime shifts as required.
Working Conditions:* Will work in aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within close proximity of runningequipment and aircraft.* Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, or overtime shifts as required.* May work outdoors, sometimes in hot or cold weather.* May be exposed to contaminants.* May be exposed to hazardous conditions, such as when standing on scaffolding or climbing ladders* Will be exposed to loud and persistent noise* Will be required to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: safety toe footwear, safetyglasses, etc.M1 Support Services, headquartered in Denton, Texas provides a variety of professional, technical, andmaintenance services to the Department of Defense and government agencies.
