Weinstein Properties is looking for an experienced, knowledgeable paralegal to assist the legal team with residential landlord tenant matters, litigation, and insurance matters. This in-house paralegal role will support the legal team of a growing real estate company and provide related administrative support. Weinstein Properties is looking for an experienced, knowledgeable paralegal to assist the legal team with residential landlord tenant matters, litigation, and insurance matters. This in-house paralegal role will support the legal team of a growing real estate company and provide related administrative support. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal to work in a variety of legal areas.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for communication with onsite property directors regarding landlord tenant issues, including eviction procedural questions, accommodation requests, Section 8 housing questions and various policy related issues.
- Assist in management of landlord tenant and insurance related litigation matters.
- Assist in administrative management of and coordination with insurance adjusters and insurance brokers in oversight of risk management program.
- Review and revise internal policies relating to residential landlord tenant issues in various jurisdictions.
- At least 5 years' experience working with attorneys on residential landlord-tenant matters
- Strong understanding of residential landlord tenant laws
- Experience working with attorneys on insurance litigation
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
- Comfortable working collaboratively, but also self-disciplined, self-motivated, and experienced enough to work independently without significant oversight (though regular communication with supervisor is expected)
- Bachelor's Degree
- A combination of law firm and in-house experience a plus
