Jobot is actively recruiting for an experienced landlord-tenant attorney to join our client's growing Manhattan firm. The opportunity is with a specialized New York City real estate firm that has a prominent reputation across all areas of real estate litigation, including landlord-tenant disputes (commercial and residential), condominium & cooperative representation, mortgage financing and banking, housing discrimination, land use, and administrative proceedings among others.Responsibilities

Vigorous advocacy for clients in court when litigation arises.Offer mediation and negotiation services to resolve disputes outside of court.Maintain current knowledge about the specific laws and regulations that apply to New York landlords/tenants.Provide legal counsel and representation to landlords and/or tenants on matters related to residential and commercial leases, evictions, disputes, and compliance with New York housing laws and regulations.Draft, review, and negotiate lease agreements, ensuring compliance with local and state laws.Qualifications

7+ years of experience in commercial/residential landlord-tenant resolution. Trial experience strongly preferred.Admitted to New York State Bar.JD from an accredited law school.Proven experience with predicate notices, settlement agreements, depositions, motions, and pleadings.Strong negotiating, computer, and legal research skills.Compensation
