Position Summary:

The Epic Application Analyst provides outstanding client service and contributes to the organization's mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care. The responsibilities include, but is not limited to the development, implementations, maintenance, system design and enhancement build, go-live support, and on-going support as it relates to patient access and patient movement.Employee may be required to travel to support offsite locations as needed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities Include the Following:

Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standard, Policies and Behaviors. Provide analytical and build expertise in the development, implementation, and maintenance of patient access related Epic modules (Cadence/Prelude/ADT). Actively participate and collaborate with other IT Analysts and Operational Leads on requirements gathering, design, build, testing, and maintenance of enhancements or projects as assigned. Execute system changes in accordance with our IT Change Management Process; including creating test plans, documenting all testing outcomes, obtaining appropriate approvals for Production migration. Analyze and understand current state workflows to assist with daily support, identifying areas of optimization, and providing recommendations for improvement. Remaining current on Epic functionality and new releases is imperative. Actively participate in governance committee meetings to prioritize, present, and discuss identified, enhancement opportunities for build approval. Provide go-live support on implementations of new features and enhancements. Provide timely, effective, and professional customer support by proactively acknowledging, troubleshooting and managing reported issues as they arise until resolution Perform coordination of vendor activities including, device integration testing, hardware or software installation. Write and maintain accurate documentation of workflow for supported Epic applications; and disseminate material to users. Create reports or dashboards upon requests (i.e. Workbench Reports, etc.). Participate in policy and procedure development as it relates to security, downtime, backup operations and disaster recovery activities. Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree preferred. 3+ years of Epic testing & build support or related experience (This is NOT a training role) Epic Certification Required Related clinical or business experience

Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work Environment •May be exposed to chemicals necessary to perform required tasks. Any hazardous chemicals the employee may be exposed to are listed in the hospital's SDS (Safety Data Sheet) data base and may be accessed through the hospital's Intranet site (Employee Tools/SDS Access). A copy of the SDS data base can also be found at the hospital switchboard, saved on a disc. Must have own vehicle for transportation to WPH off-site locations. Must be able to remain in stationary position for 50% of the time.
