Position Summary:
The Sr. Epic Application Analyst is responsible for the implementation of EPIC applications, upgrades, and modifications. The Sr. Epic Application Analyst is responsible for advanced workflow configurations, go-live support, and ongoing client support. The Sr. Epic Application Analyst provides outstanding client service and contributes to the organization's mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care. Employee will be required to travel to support offsite locations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Include the Following:
Understand and adhere to the WPH Performance Standard, Policies and Behaviors. Proactively monitor and evaluate the operational workflow that is applied to the system; assist with identifying areas of optimization and providing recommendations for improvement. Lead Meetings regarding Epic Builds and Implementations. Provide mentoring for Junior Analysts. Install EPIC applications, new components, and upgrade existing modules. Configure application settings and validate configurations. Provide timely, effective, and professional customer support by troubleshooting and managing complex reported issues as they arise until resolution. Proactively acknowledge and manage all assigned service request tickets received from end-users. Collaborate with end-users to gather and interpret user requirements to assist with designing and discussing optimal solutions. Participate in the design, build, testing, and maintenance of complex system enhancements and/or work with the appropriate Montefiore IT associate or vendor to coordinate modifications. Resolve critical issues independently as necessary. Forward issues to the correct group for remediation or elevate it to the vendor if required. Oversee and review analysis of analysts' resolutions and solution of necessary application modifications for accuracy and completeness. Act as a liaison to the end-user for vendor or Montefiore IT. Contact vendor to report escalations and obtain assistance with complex solving issues. Perform coordination of vendor activities including, device integration testing, hardware or software installation. Execute system changes in accordance to IT Change Management Process; including creating test plans and documenting all outcomes of testing; obtaining appropriate approvals Provide go-live and/or daily end-users support and training on EPIC applications, modules, and functionality. Write and maintain accurate documentation of workflow for supported Epic applications; and disseminate material to users. Create reports utilizing a report-writing tool. Participate in policy and procedure development as it relates to security, downtime, backup operations and disaster recovery activities. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree preferred 5+ years of Epic experience Epic Certification Required Application testing experience Related clinical or business experience
