Vice President, Asset & Property ManagementJob Overview:The Vice President, Asset and Property Management will be an asset and property management expert with a passion for customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. The role is responsible for managing the real estate acquisition process and oversee comprehensive plan to manage the assets after acquisition. Developing and implementing strategies to ensure the long-term financial health of the portfolio; and supervising the day-to-day operations of the asset and property management department.This individual will play a crucial role in maximizing the value of estate assets, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of tenant satisfaction. The VP of Asset and Property Management will supervise the off-site property management technicians as well as our outsourced third-party property management companies. The VP of Asset and Property Management will partner closely with the Real Estate, Finance, and Accounting teams.Reports to:The VP of Asset and Property Management will report to the Senior Vice President, Real Estate DevelopmentQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related fieldA minimum of 10 years' experience in asset and property management with a track record of successful strategy development and implementationExcellent written and oral communication and negotiation skillsComputer literacy and competence with property management software and databasesSuperior organizational skillsIn-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standardsEssential Functions:Acquisitions
Oversee the entire acquisition process through due diligence and closing to ensure a smooth transition in the asset management phase of the project life cycle
Strategic Asset Planning
Develop and implement comprehensive asset and property management strategies aligned with overall organizational goals and objectivesConduct regular assessments of the current portfolio and identify opportunities for growth or divestment
Financial Analysis & Management
Analyze financial data related to assets, including performance metrics, cash flow, and return on investmentOversee budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting for the department, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitabilityManage audit requests from all funding sources and syndicators in partnership with the finance department
Risk Management
Identify and assess potential risks associated with the asset portfolio and property management activitiesDevelop risk mitigation strategies to protect the organization's investments and financial interests
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor a team of asset and property management professionals (staff and outsourced property management companies)
Stakeholder Communication
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on performance and strategiesMaintain a strong working relationship with tenants and property related matters are addressed in a timely mannerWork with program staff and other internal/external stakeholders to strike a balance between what is needed to effectively manage properties and provide quality services for clients in a caring manner that aligns with the organizational mission
Compliance and Regulations
Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and industry standards
Tenant Relations
Establish and maintain positive relationships with tenants, addressing concerns and ensuring high levels of tenant satisfaction
Vendor Management
Oversee relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effective services
Technology Integration
Stay abreast of industry trends and integrate relevant technologies to enhance asset and property management processes
