Essential Functions: Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and administer Oracle database software in a classified environment. Create/troubleshoot/manage databases, schemas, and user accounts/roles/permissions. Maintain database software in accordance with all applicable security requirements, i.e. DoD STIGs. Manage storage structures of the database. Manage schema objects such as tables, indexes, and views. Configure database backups in accordance with customer requirements. Perform database recoveries as required. Perform daily checks of databases, backups, exports, jobs, and storage, taking preventive or corrective actions as required. Monitoring and tuning database performance. Other duties as assigned or required. Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
Database administration experience working with Oracle 19c running on RHEL/UNIX required. Proficiency managing Oracle from command line/SQL Developer required. Knowledge of queries, DDL, DML, and DCL commands required. A comprehensive understanding of Oracle architecture required.
Physical and logical structures, memory structures, and process architecture.
Experience with Recovery Manager (RMAN), Data Pump, and Automatic Workload Repository (AWR) required. CompTIA Security+ certification required (must show proof of cert prior to interview). Desired:
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and TOAD desired.
Security Clearance: Active/Interim Top Secret/SSBI clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
Education: BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.
