Job OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee our operations in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, staff training, and kitchen management, with a keen understanding of food safety and hospitality standards. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring excellent service delivery, maintaining high operational standards, and leading a team to achieve business goals.

The General Manager will oversee the daily operations of a dynamic multi-faceted business that includes a grocery store, retail space, and restaurant. This role requires a strategic leader capable of managing cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless coordination between departments, and delivering an exceptional customer experience across all areas.

include managing staff, optimizing inventory, controlling costs, and driving profitability while maintaining brand standards. A focus on staff development, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence is essential to the role.

Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Beverage Director, Social Media Liaison, Events Team

Direct Reports:

All FOH and BOH staff

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Foster seamless collaboration between BOH and FOH teams and develop standards of practice (SOP) for all new products, menus, methods and launches

Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff

Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy

Oversee delivery platforms and Point of Sale system, manage app-based inventory, and coordinate promotional specials

Coordinate events, private dining room activations, in-store activations and programming in alignment with all facets of the corporation and brand identity

Creates training programs to elevate hospitality standards to maximize efficiency and maintains the set standards

Oversees the daily workflow of the busiest service days and peak service hours to ensure hospitality standards are met

Oversees all aspects of service and employee relations and ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, responsible beverage service and hygiene standards

Analyze all financial aspects to maintain thresholds set by Operations Manager and Owner and provide regular weekly insights into finances

Commit to a 45-50-hour workweek, ensuring a presence during peak service periods

Duties/Responsibilities:

Collaborate with social media and management to develop posts and sampling programs that promote the business

Establish and maintain vendor relationships to secure optimal pricing and promotional opportunities

Oversees all aspects of service and employee relations and ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, responsible beverage service and hygiene standards

Work with Chef to discuss food cost and ensure quality of products. Cooperate to create resources and programs to ensure staff is fully trained to execute standards

Collaborate with the Beverage Director to develop SOPs for staff education, organize tastings and promotional events, and create resources and programs to ensure the team is fully trained to meet operational standards

Work with Events Director to discuss increasing bookings and cooperate to execute events

Provide constructive and regular feedback to Director of Operations regarding employees’ performance, service notes, and guest feedback

Develop schedules that balance labor cost control with maintaining high hospitality standards

Conduct monthly inventory and identify effective promotions, as well as slow-moving items and optimize stock rotation

Analyze performance data such as labor, sales, and guest feedback and execute systems to improve efficiency and profitability

$85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
