To help us drive excellence, as a Manual Machinist, you'll get to:Support the Company's mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities.Lift metal part or stock onto machine and secures it on machine table, in chuck, or holding fixture.Perform manual bench-type tasks such as sawing, filing, grinding, Milling, Drilling, painting, etc.Monitor machine operations for malfunctions or problems and notifies supervisor or maintenance immediately upon discovery.Inspect parts, components, visually for quality defects such as scrap marks, rust, burrs, etc.Inspect and ensures parts, components, and assemblies meet specifications.Performs routine and preventative maintenance and setup work to maintain machines according to schedules, which may require repairing, replacing, and lubricating parts.This full-time role is a part of our Machine Shop Team and reports to the Operations Manager
Required education & experience:
High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.Journeyman Card (not required but preferred)Required Skills & Abilities
Ability to operate boring mills, lathes, bridgeport, Key Cutter & vertical theft lathe.Ability to run all tool room and precision equipment efficientlyAbility to read and interpret blueprintsPreferred additional skills & abilities:
