GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
To provide complex administrative support to the Vice President of Finance & Administration and Vice President of Strategic Planning & Enrollment. This position also provides support to all departments in the Vice Presidents divisions, and also communicates and distributes information to entire campus as needed. This position receives general direction from the Vice President of Finance & Administration and Vice President of Strategic Planning & Enrollment and exercises no supervision.
NOTE:
This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
The cover letter should address how the following knowledge, skills, and abilities were acquired:
Knowledge of: 1. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation; 2. Office practices; 3. Accounting practices; 4. College policies and procedures;
Skills in:
5. Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, (PDF), Publisher, Zoom, and other office software and equipment; 6. Performing responsible and sometimes difficult administrative work involving the use of independent judgment; 7. Prioritizing projects to meet deadlines; 8. Organization, attention to detail, and critical thinking; 9. Excellent customer service;
Ability to:
10. Learn new software as needed; 11. Understand oral and written instructions; 12. Provide a high level of support to VP's and Divisions; 13. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; 14. Work independently and as a team player; 15. Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing; 16. Uphold confidentiality at all times;
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Sedentary-Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Minimal Hazard/Exposure-Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort.
QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Associate Degree from an accredited college or university (a minimum of 12 college credits plus relevant work experience may be substituted for required degree)
Experience:
At least three years of work experience in a clerical environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
Experience:
Work experience supporting senior executives
