**Title:** Inspector - UID**Location:** United States-Kansas-Wellington**Job Number:** 16370The role is responsible for the fabrication of and validity of government UID labels.+ Manage UID (Unique Identification) projects that includes creating Item Unique Identification, fabricating UID plates and maintaining records that provide visibility and accountability of GFM (Government Furnished Material).+ Coordinate the pre-production of UID requirements that will be required for each work order+ Manage material consumption of required material to produce UID labels in house and coordinate with the purchasing partners for UID material+ Manage and update inquiry spreadsheet to be used for daily/weekly follow up with purchasing partners as well as file of product specifications that need to be submitted to Government agencies+ Inspects incoming materials, manufactured &/or repaired parts and verifies conformance to manufacturers specifications and maintains the traceability of the parts &/or materials+ Ensures positive traceability by completing required documentation IAW internal procedures & work instructions+ Logs incoming parts and distributes to the appropriate departments as prescribed on TAS purchase orders+ Completes in-process inspections as required+ Conducts internal audits and associated documentation+ All other duties as assignedQualifications:Thorough knowledge of:+ Methods, practices, inspection techniques and tools used in the military inspection and UID role+ Microsoft office basicsSkill to:+ Utilize inspection equipment, tools, visual aids, and company procedures to inspect incoming manufactured & repaired parts and traceability documents for compliance to regulations and customer requirementsLearn the ERP & MRP System, including the Inventory, Purchasing and Service repair order screensLearn the Repair Station Quality Management System, FAA 8130-3 Form, FAA Advisory Circulars, ATA 106 and the current FARsDependability: personally responsible, completes work in a timely manner, and performs tasks accuratelyMotivation: must maintain a positive attitude and strong work energyCommunication: excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skillsOrganization: very detail oriented and always comes prepared Initiative: plans work and carries out tasks without detailed instructions, prepares for problems or opportunities in advance, undertakes additional responsibilities skills including MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook; familiarityWe are an equal opportunity employer.
